Mameda Town, where you can still feel this history, is full of atmosphere, and the townscape is bustling with tourists all year round, making it lively with all those people.<\/p><p>Numerous rivers, large and small, flow into this atmospheric townscape from the surrounding mountains, and the pure, blessed water eventually flows into the waterways that dot the town. The water that flows through the townscape envelops Hita in every season, bringing coolness and healing to the people in the summer, and turning into mist that adds elegance to the town's scenery in the winter.<\/p><p>After traveling through the waterways, the water returns to the Mikuma River, which flows east to west through the center of the city, and eventually becomes the Chikugo River, Kyushu's largest river.
